- I am a senior Dance and Media Arts and Design double major with a concentration in corporate communications. I have taken many valuable courses, such as corporate media writing, feature writing, methods of teaching dance and web communication.
- I will graduate in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University in Virginia. I will be leaving JMU with extensive experience working individually and as part of a team. As a double major, I have developed a strong work ethic and time management skills.

- Magazine Cover Design: I created and designed a cover for a faux magazine, The Modern Dancer.
- Website Design: I used Dreamweaver to design and create a homepage for a faux company.
- Picture Manipulation: I used Photoshop to manipulate The Dance Class by Edgar Degas with the addition of fruits.
Podcast
- Creating a Social Media Strategy: I answer a few general questions about creating a blog. Podcast edited using Garageband.
Video
- Corporate Blogging: Focus on companies with authenticity, interactivity and collaboration. I wrote and edited the video. Video shot by classmate Nicole Fiorella.

Volunteer Work
Alternative Spring Break- March 2008
- Volunteered at the Gesundheit! Institute, a project initiated by Patch Adams to create an affordable health care clinic and hospital. During the trip, I worked at the site taking care of the land and clowning at a nearby hospital.
Hurricane Relief Trip
- June 2006- Participated in a mission trip to Slidell, Louisiana with my youth group from Glen Mar United Methodist Church in the summer of 2006. I worked with a team rehabbing homes and connecting with survivors of the area.
- May 2009- As part of JMU’s Community Service-Learning Alternative May Break, I worked on construction with Habitat for Humanity in the Musician’s Village in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Work Experience
International Food Policy Research Institute
- I was a Social Media Intern at IFPRI. I worked with the Communications Division to research best practices for social media and develop a social media strategy.
- I was an usher at Merriweather Post Pavilion during the 2005-2009 summer seasons. I work as a team with other employees to assist patrons and enforce Merriweather policies.
- I worked as a 1:1 student assistant for the special education programs in the Howard County Public School System during summer and winter breaks from 2007-2008.
Howard County Recreation and Parks
- I worked as an assistant for Princess Dance Camp during the summer of 2007. I worked with student’s ages 3-10 in dance camp organizing activities for a final performance.
